The Energy Alliance Group of Michigan (EAG) would like to introduce two of our newest team members, Howard Himelhoch and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Bedrock.
Bedrick, is a junior at The University of Michigan (U of M) and has joined the EAG team as an Intern. She will be assisting with an energy efficiency project at the U of M Cooperative Housing unit on U of M’s North Campus.
Himelhoch, a licensed attorney, will be managing EAG’s commercial and industrial energy efficiency projects and Michigan’s Lean & Green PACE financing programs as a Business Development Manager. As EAG continues to expand to other states, he will be assisting with matters of entity formation, equity agreements, operating agreements, commercial contracts, and others. “He is a great fit for our organization,” said Scott Ringlein, EAG’s Founding Partner.
Previously, Himelhoch worked as a sales account manager at Wolters Kluwer firm and a sales account manager with Thomson Reuters. He earned his law degree from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School, and graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration.
He also received a master’s degree in Dispute Resolution from Wayne State University. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, has been involved with the Southeast Michigan Resource Conservation and Development Council, and with the People of Livonia Addressing Issues of Diversity.
Bedrick is pursuing a degree in Environmental Studies, with a minor in the Chinese Language. She recently completed an internship with Levin Energy Partners, the administrator for Michigan’s Lean & Green organization. For the last six months, Bedrick assisted with database management, outreach programs, communications, and obtaining Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing for building retrofits.
With EAG, she is working with the student body to obtain support for energy efficiency improvements at U-M’s Inter-Cooperative Council (ICC) student housing units. ICC, a non-profit group in Ann Arbor, provides affording housing for U-M and all other local university students .
The Energy Alliance Group has been retained by the ICC to develop and manage a PACE Energy Efficiency Improvement project for each of ICC’s housing units. Some of the energy efficient technologies that the ICC will be installing is LED interior & exterior lighting, boiler and hot water systems, energy management systems, kitchen & laundry appliances, water conservation measures, solar, and a variety of improvements for the housing unit’s exterior.
Bedrick is a peer advisor with U-M’s Program in the Environment program and a student ambassador with The GREEN program. The GREEN program’s members support colleges and universities by offering hands-on experience learning opportunities for their students.
In 2014, she traveled with The GREEN Program to Iceland where she embraced her passion for the environment and love for the outdoors. She also has studied general ecology at the University of Michigan’s Biological Station. “I am always amazed at the number of talented students that come from The University of Michigan and Lizzie is just another great example of that talent. I am looking forward to having her participate in our company’s business activities,” Ringlein said.
