Lighting System Upgrade Project

Client: Jewel Heart Tibetan Center
Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan

Project Overview:

Located in Ann Arbor, MI, Jewel Heart is a Tibetan Center. The interior and exterior lighting technology was outdated, plus the property had multiple meters for gas and electricity. Utilities levy an additional charge for each meter. Plus it was determined there were consistently a number of errors on the utility bills resulting in overcharges. The interior T12’s were replaced with Toggle LED tube lights, and the exterior metal halide replaced with induction. In addition to eliminating the billing errors, the upgrades resulted in an average monthly savings of $153, and long-term savings projected to be $20,054 for 10 years and $41,950 for 20 years. The upgrades qualified for a $1,531 utility rebate.
